One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Cuckoo's Nest) from 1975 is one of my favorite films of all time where every fear, madness, illness and virtue of its protagonists is explored with humor and compassion, this masterful film is ultimately an unforgettable and incomparable experience. I thank everyone who made it possible to make this film and especially those who have passed away. R.I.P. Miloš Forman (Director) (1932-2018). Saul Zaentz (Producer)(1921-2014). Jack Nitzsche (Score) (1937-2000). Lawrence Hauben (Screenwriter) (1931-1985). Bo Goldman (Screenwriter) (1932-2023). Ken Kesey (Writer) (1935-2001). Haskell Wexler (Cinematographer)(1922-2015). Bill Butler (Cinematographer)(1921-2023). Will Sampson ("Chief" Bromden)(1933-1987). Louise Fletcher (Nurse Ratched)(1934-2022). William Redfield (Dale Harding) (1927-1976). Sidney Lassick (Charlie Cheswick)(1922-2003). Dean Brooks (Dr. John Spivey) (1916-2013). William Duell (Jim Sefelt)(1923-2011). Vincent Schiavelli (Bruce Frederickson)(1948-2005). Nathan George (Assistant Warren) (1963-2017). Scatman Crothers ((Night Guard Turkle)(1910-1986). Phil Roth (Woolsey)(1933-2018). Louisa Moritz (Rose)(1936-2019). Peter Brocco (Col. Matterson) (1903-1992). Delos V. Smith Jr. (Scanlon) (1906-1997). Josip Elic (Bancini)(1921-2019). Ted Markland (Hap Arlich)(1933-2011).
That's what happens when you let Women take over everything. Typical Dominating Feminist Nurse Rached is. Treats grown men like their in Nursery School. Typical Daycare Center that place is.
Today, I am in the same situation as mcmurfhy !! I am sectioned in a mental health ward, unable to leave this place , I am very scared of what may happen to me ? I am being illegally held against my will . So this film is very true to life.
All of us know what it’s like to rage at senseless tyranny, find ourself utterly exhausted and defeated by it, and yet still by some magic our spirit still stirs and we find something inside ourselves more powerful and vital than before that just longs to and loves to express itself. We never give up and when we do give up, we just keep on getting back up again more beautifully than ever.
All the actors in this film did a tremulously accurate, convincing performance. The film won 🏆 an Oscars, but ALL the actors performed at the level worthy of an Oscar. Very convincing.
Some people who were betrayed in the Brexit vote can relate to this ,i think Jack Nicholsons finest piece in his finest film role -The scene that follows when he,s pretending he's won is sublime ,and the joy he brings to the other inmates is heart rending.
BEST scene ever out of Hollywood! I was in the game with them ...looking at that blank screen!!! Love it! I'm gonna be laughing my balls off when I'm dying, thinking about that scene. Talk about cheering on the under dog!!LOL
I reckon this movie and this scene in particular is incredible, because it shows quite accurately how *some* people come to lose their minds, ie. the build up of *untoward pressure,* and how you can help them recover their sanity through relieving that pressure in a way that brings them *back to reality* & shows them their *rightful place in the world.* Although other people who have severe mental health issues are in need of special assistance and round the clock monitoring to ensure they are not a risk to themselves & others, I think it’s important to avoid the perception they are “too far gone”, given their minds can always be *rebuilt/restored* to a fully functioning state, including through Faith that gives their life *structure* & themselves *understanding.*
hardest protagonist win I've ever witness in cinema
Anyone else find Nurse Ratched kind of hot?
2:01 that scream LMAO
Greatest scene in the movie. Because it's fun.

Macmurphy got the reaction he wanted from Nurse Ratched.. She was angry and defeated seeing all of them enjoy a fake World Series game on TV.😂😂
Me in 2024.
I love when he has the idea and he just smiles a little! Then goes into the play by play! What an amazing film!
It’s all true and empowering until they actually get their clutches in you. That’s the real challenge.
Somebody get me a fucking wiener before I die!!!
They can imprison your body but they cannot imprison your mind.
That look on her face starting around 2:10, pissed off looking

This scene made me understand the excitement and thrill of baseball.
Game 1 of the World Series actually starts tonight, even though as a Mets fan I don’t have a dog in this year’s fight. ⚾️
This is the reason why this is my favourite movie
Does he not say Koufax kicks.??? Or it it just me ..

Please Hollywood don’t ever remake this masterpiece just watch the original
Maybe the greatest scene in a perfect film

Somebody get me a fuckin' weiner before I die!
This is a performance by a world-class actor
We are not going to play YOUR game, Mr. McMurphy. You are going to play OUR game. Do you hear that, Mr. McMurphy? Is that clear? PLAY THE GAME.
Play The Game by Jack Nitzsche. Available now... 😂
He wasn't crazy. He was however, a victim of psychiatric malpractice

Jack Nicholson is unbeleivable one of the best. Anyone know what instrumental records were used in this movie?
